Perform span calibration once a day before starting measurements. Ideally, span calibration should be performed when the temperature of the oxygen sensor and temperature sensor are sufficiently stable, such as first thing in the morning before operating the air conditioning system.
If the deviation from the true value can be tolerated by about 5%, span calibration should be performed when the oxygen concentration in the atmosphere is 20%O2 or less, or 22%O2 or more. In this case, the error will be 0.05% O2 when the measurement concentration is 1%O2.
1. Place the needle in the atmosphere.
2. Press MENU key.
The MENU screen opens, and “CAL” is selected (flashes).
3. Press START key.
The O2 CAL screen opens.
4. Hold down START key for 1 second or more.
The calibration starts, and the Stability Decision screen opens. A beep sounds, the calibration
To accurately measure low concentrations when measuring O2, use nitrogen gas for calibration.
1. Set the needle so it can suction the nitrogen gas.
2. Press MENU key.
The MENU screen opens, and “CAL” is selected (flashes).
3. Press START key.
The O2 CAL screen opens.
4. Hold down START key for 1 second or more.
The calibration starts, and the Stability Decision screen opens. A beep sounds, the calibration process is completed.
<When nitrogen gas cannot be prepared>
Initialize the instrument and then perform span calibration.
Refer to the sections “Initialization” and “Span calibration” for details on the operation methods.
Use this function if the measured value is incorrect after calibration. It resets the O2 display setting, O2 calibration value, measurement mode, CO2 disable setting*, upper limit setting*, CO2 calibration value*, and output setting to the factory default settings. The initialization will reset any arbitrary settings to the factory default settings.
